After many years of being involved directly and indirectly in Sales, suddenly it strive my mind and start asking myself why i'm in sales. Remember those days when i'm still in the secondary school, i've actually swear inside my heart not to be a salesperson.
Why ? very scare of "Rejection" by customer. Doesn't feel good.
When you propose to your love one , and get rejected !! Oh No !
When your application being rejected , very down !
But as a Sales Consultant or even any individual you must be positive, considering all options and alternative for solution. How to prevent being "Rejected" ? below are some suggestion for thought ....
1) Timing :- Before approach someone, think through is it the right timing ?
Example : Why during Busy time, Lunch Time, After Working Hours etc
2) People :- What type of people that you are talking to ?
Example : Don't talk to a Senior Director without facts & figure, do your homework first.
3) Place :- Are you talking about the right topic at the right place or occasion ?
Example : The person is having his company press conference, but you are there asking for order, what do you think ?
4) Smile :- A warm and friendly smile, most of the time able to break the ice.
